The next best thing to winter camping is planning your next trip. While this can be done in the trail head parking lot, it is a lot more fun planning in the off season. Like planning canoe trips during the winter, one can discuss winter camping trips during spring and summer.
This weekend as we camp out near Tenant Creek Waterfalls I am sure we will discuss winter camping trips for 2008-09. High on my list is giving serious consideration to another dog sledding/winter camping trip.
One possibility is a dog sledding trip in Algonquin Park. Matt has been researching alternatives. Kathryn has expressed interest in a dog sledding trip that goes from one stove equipped wall tent to other stove equipped wall tents. I would love to re-visit a trip similar to our Winter Green trip in Ely, MN. It was just so far to drive…..
Any good suggestions?

Have a look we have 1 to 5 day Algonquin Dog Sled trips going throughout the winter season. We have 5 remote camps set up with wood stove heated wall tents. You’ll do 30-50 km per day driving the sleds.
