Before or after winter camping there is nothing like a snack at the trail head. On our Tenant Creek trip Matt broke out self-heating hot chocolate. Pressing the bottom breaks a foil seal and allows water to enter the internal heating chamber which contains quicklime. The mixture generates lots of heat but does not touch the beverage. There are 10 fl. ozs. in the drink.
