The Friends of Boyden Refuge will sponsor a winter hiking workshop at the Gertrude Boyden Wildlife Refuge, 1298 Cohannet St. in Taunton, MA on Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. Local Appalachian Mountain Club hike leaders will educate participants on proper clothing, equipment and nutrition necessary for you to safely enjoy your winter hikes. The trails at Boyden are a great place to begin your hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing adventures. Refreshments will be provided.
