NOAA NWS Climate Prediction Center has issued their winter outlook for December to February!
For the northeast United States, there is a better chance of having above normal temperatures. Precipitation for central NY and northeast PA showed equal chances to be above, below, or near normal. This outlook does not say how stormy it will be or how much snow we will receive.
Below average temperatures are favored in parts of the south-central and southeastern United States, while above-average temperatures are most likely in the western U.S., Alaska, Hawaii and New England, according to the U.S. Winter Outlook, issued today by NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center.
