Solo Pete and Matt had planned a trip for the previous weekend but sub 0 temps and strong winds made them change the date to the following weekend. Pete’s wife had a co-worker that was interested in going and he along with a friend met Matt and Pete at the trail head of Pharaoh lake.
The hike in was fairly easy with the exception of several places being quite icy.
There was a nice lean-to along the edge of the lake and after scouting out some down wood across the lake enough wood was gathered for the evenings campfire.
Dinner was made and we sat up around the campfire for several hours.
Uncharacteristically, the groups slept in quite late the next morning until nearly 8:30am when they got up, made some breakfast and hiked out.
