4 All Outdoors has an article “Dressing To Stay Warm” focused on layering and material types. The author is from Northern Alabama and the article displays his concerns with wet weather camping but the basic advice is sound.
Backpacker Magazine has a series “Staying Comfortable in Any Weather” broken into segments with 9 tips each for On the Trail, In Camp, Key Gear, and Where to Camp.
